The wisdom bonus thread made me wonder, has anyone considered just getting rid of all stat bonuses in thier game? You would still have your stat scores (for visualation) but wouldn't have to worry about ingame calculations.
I'm not saying I would likely choose this, but it seems to me if you knock one stat bonus to one class you will likely need to do so universally.

I've thought about reducing ability score adjustments in AD&D to what they were in OD&D (i.e. an x.p. bonus/penalty for the prime abilities and very small adjustments for non-primes). Ultimately, though, I'm just not sure how well that would work within the context of the AD&D rules. A few other changes might have to be made.
And just to note, I'm not advocating doing away with wisdom bonuses for clerics, I just want to alter the way the bonuses apply.
