Are You Going? I am. LGGCIt is going to be more than C&C. Plus it may be the last time we get that list of guests under one roof at one time.

I'm going to be bringing my OD&D and 1e AD&D books as well as my Traveller, Call of Cthulhu, and maybe Star Fontiers (if i can retrieve my books from the person that currently has them) and Metamorphisis Alpha.

I'm strongly considering it after reading Frank Mentzer's comment about possibly running a 1e game at DF.
Heh. Big-Gay-Ass-Elf-Picture-Fiff didn't like my "C&C Love Fest" statement. ;D

If I still lived in Indiana I'd be at this thing for sure, but alas can't really justify it from California (flying vs. driving). Plus, of course, the fact that it's being sponsored by TLG is a turn-off (though it will be funny if the old games end up overshadowing their offering, which looks likely to happen...).

Well, coming from Florida would be a stretch.
I'd rather fly out at some time when others from these boards could meet with the Big G and sit down for a weekend game. Something Scotty G was working on might be cool. Otherwise, I'm afraid the waters are too mixed as well (the shared focus with the Trolls etc. would suck). Now if I had a time machine, set it for 1982 or so, for the pure experiance...

I'm definitely going. Airfare from New Orleans is actually cheaper than I thought.

For a laugh, I checked out the price of an airfare.
I knew it was going to be a lot, but, Jesus Christ almighty.

I'm going to try like hell to make it happen, but I doubt I will. Too many other prior commitments in and around that time frame. And yes, when I saw the list of special guests, I thought to myself that this could be the last big hurrah.

Man - Priceline rocks. I have nonstop flights and a decent rental.
I am paying more to stay at the Cove, but heck, you only live once.

And yes, when I saw the list of special guests, I thought to myself that this could be the last big hurrah. SCORE! I am going! I pre-registered today. We shuffled another trip around, I fell into some extra cash, and my in-laws wanted to take the kids for a week, starting that thursday. Amazing confluence of good fortune! So, my wife will enjoy a few days lounging by the pool, whilst I get to go to a very cool little con. ;D

Some of you know already, but...
I won't be attending as orginally planned. My health has went south on me. But 3 good friends of mine from the SEKGG/Gorilla Con willstill be attending. So i fully expect you all to give them a full share of grief. Heh.

That place is going to be packed to the walls with sycophantic ass-kissers attached like barnacles to the backsides of Gygax, Kuntz, Mentzer, and all the other "recognizable names" in attendance. I almost feel sorry for all of them (but then I suppose at least some of them actually crave that sort of attention and the ego-boost it provides...).
