Does anyone have Dark Druids or Lost City of Gaxmor. They are both d20 adventures from Troll Lord games. I'm thinking of picking these up and would like to get your impressions.

Dark Druids was written for D20 if you can see past that then the "real D&D" atmosphere it conjures is well worth playing.
Gaxmoor is one of the things that has a sloppy 3e influence that just degrades it but it still holds strong in flavor for the most part. The image on the city map is nice but the overall production wasn't so great. I definitely felt like I was being served up the material 3rd hand rather than the 2nd hand feeling of Dark Druids.
Both were intended for Greyhawk:
Dark Druids: Gnarley Forest. The Dark God is Tharizdun.
Gaxmoor: Somewhere in one of the Iron League states. I forget which one specifically. A Zagyg presence is mentioned in some of the features as well.

That's mostly what i'm hearing DD good, gaxmoor, not so.
How are the encounters in gaxmoor. Worthy of inclusion in a first ed game?

Yeah, but it may get your nads in a knot trying to "re-imagineer"* the unique beings as I was unsure if it was the 3e influence or just plain off the beaten path for some of these characters. *"Imagineer" is the term I often use when I do my spaced out George Lucas impersonation.

Wasn't Gaxmoor written by Gary's son?
