I rather like the new look and features. One thing does raise a question, though.
What law requires a date of birth to become a member of a public forum? What is this supposed to do, protect minors from things that are disallowed by the ToS anyway? If so, it is a pretty stupid attempt since guests can read the forums without a DoB. I just find it . . . odd.

I'm sure this is the result of another lawsuit crazed person who caught their child looking at questionable material on a site that just happened to be hosted by proboards.
So at least the next time it happens Proboards can say 'well we have a method in place; if they choose to falsify info it's covered by our usage agreement' to Cover their A. The method is hardly reliable (as Cias & Axe stated) and cannot be verified without a lot of labor costs.
