Or at least those of you who've seen my home-grown modules. Tell me: what do you all think? Be honest.

I've not played them through, so I can only comment on the presentation. They look old-school - very much along the lines that TSR used to churn out before they made it big. You might just want to right-justify if you're going to use 2-column Century Gothic, for an even more authentically Gygaxian feel. I want to say that I'd quite like to playtest those. They do look like good fun. Is there any reason why the main Dragonsfoot site isn't hosting them?

They do look like good fun. Is there any reason why the main Dragonsfoot site isn't hosting them? Well Dragonsfoot is just the "host-o-tron" for my web-page. The content at the 'Dungeon is all mine. I started this way before Mark (RIP) at Dragonsfoot offered me hosting, so that's always where I've kept them. On my page, that is. And to be 100% honest, as much as I love the Foot (and I do), it is a gigantic plastic hassle to drill down and find things like the adventures, the character generator, etc. So I keep 'em on the 'Dungeon. Plus, on the not-very-likely-or-probable chance that I have a falling out of sorts with dragonsfoot.org, I can pull them and all the rest of my site with a few keystrokes in WSFTP. You can feel free to grab them and play any of them. Other folks have gotten and used DD1 and DD2, but the "big" dungeon crawls haven't really garnered much feedback.

Do you have a link to them here? Someone put my 'site in the "Our favorite links" page here so the Delver's Dungeon can be reached from here, but direct links to the modules? No. For your convenience: delversdungeon.dragonsfoot.org/emodules.htmNote in WGH3 there is a "missing room" that has caused a rather egregious editing problem. Once I find the manuscript I'm going to fix it - the manuscript is backed up on a DVD-R somewhere...!

Ironically, DD, I just printed WGH2 and 3 at work yesterday (do you have a WGH1?). Hopefully I'll be able to give them a read over the weekend.

Okay, just be aware that if you're reading WGH3 and suddenly go "Hey, where the hell is room #13?!" (or was it 16?), know that I'm on the problem. And incidentally WGH1 (which will be a megadungeon), WGH2 and the WGH3-5 series are not interconnected. WGH3-5 are, much like the Desert of Desolation series stands out in the "I" series. Except they don't suck.

I've ran dd1 and dd2 in my AD&D campaign with some slight mods for group play. I liked them a lot and so did my players. If i ever get back to running our campaign again i have already downloaded the greyhawk mods for incorporation.
I put your link below when i first started this forum. I actually started visiting your site long ago and it has continued to be a favorite stop over. It was also how i stumbled onto Dragonsfoot. At times I wish I had stopped with your site. Heh.

Jerry I'm sure I've asked you this before, but what mods did you do? Did you just bump up the number of monsters or what?

I dont have the mods in front of me and its been awhile, but IIRC it mostly was increasing the # appearing. Although IIRC there were a few encounters that i just bumped the HD a bit. The group was 5 1st/2nd lvl characters so the adjustments werent huge. They didnt have to be.

I just ran through DD1 with my son as player, making free adaptations as I went (the only significant one was changing the orc-wizard's spell from magic missile to charm person - I did this because the character only rolled 2hp, so magic missile would be a death-no-save zap.)
It played through fine, and my son told me he enjoyed it as much as I did, but I personally feel that the level of reward - something in excess of 800gp - was perhaps a bit much given that the adventure included only 4 foes, the most dangerous of whom was AC8 and 3hp.

Yeah, DD1 isn't a "great" module. Personally I feel I've done better work. However, it sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. Did he "win"?

He "sort of" won. Killed the three half-orcs with no problem at all, nabbed the magic-user in the corridor after an alarming little battle and rendered him unconscious. Dragged the magic-user away without searching his room (was scared that there would be more bandits deeper in - he didn't know it was basically a one-room dungeon.)
The orcish magic-user was brought to justice in the tower and imprisoned, and the character made it away with ~600gp. He was very pleased!
