I get this message all the time (recently, never saw it before the ProBoards upgrade) and it's extremely frustrating because it "eats" my posts (i.e. I type a post, hit send, get the "too many connections" screen, and when I refresh 30 seconds later the 'message' window is blank). Is there any way to avoid this (other than 'copy'ing each post before I hit send, which I've been trying to do but don't always remember)? And more important, is there any way to stop getting this error? I find it hard to belive that actual traffic (as in number of visitors) has increased that dramatically in the weeks since the server upgrade... (Ironically but unsurprisingly, I got the error when trying to post this very post; luckily this time I had the foresight to copy it before hitting Post Message)

My own New Orleans Gaming board is plagued by the same issues. In fact, one poster started using the name "too many connections" when posting. My board gets even less traffic. The response from Proboards has been "Deal with it." *Sigh*. I even got it replying to this message. Thank goodness for Copy and Paste.

I'm getting it too, and mostly at this particular site (not at OS for instance). Some upgrade!

OSU is on another server: proboards40.com.
proboards43.com seems to be VERY overloaded.

I get that message all the time too. It's pretty frustrating.
If I may make a suggestion, this board seems pretty young. Invisionfree has better boards with more options and diskspace. Plus they add servers all the time, so no one server gets overwhelmed. It could be worth it to break camp and move to an Invisionfree board while using this one as an archive of sorts.
Just a thought.

I guess I just get online when there is little activity. I have only had this happen once. Semaj made a good suggestion but i would like to hold off on such a big change for a little while. Currently i dont have the time nor internet connection to make a bunch of major changes a move would require. Lets hang in for a while longer and if it desnt straigten up and fly right in a month or so, then we will look at our options for a move.

Yeah, it's just an offhand suggestion in case the situation becomes too intolerable. I personally haven't had any connection problems this morning...it seems to crop up later in the afternoon.

Foster you stole my rant!
It's been driving me crazy over the past week. Incidentally unlike Axe, I encountered the problem over on OSU twice today. Hope it is not the sign of more to come.

BTW Axe, check you email. Waiting for a reply from you.
